Drive Smart Academy ("we", "us", "our") is operated by Deep Six Solutions LLC d/b/a Drive Smart Academy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information on drivesmart.academy (the "Site").
Today the Site is a pre-launch landing page that allows visitors to join a waitlist. Once we launch the Drive Smart Academy product, this policy will be updated to cover that experience as well.
Information we collect
Information you provide
- Waitlist signups. When you join the waitlist, we collect your email address, the role you selected (parent or teen), and your U.S. state.
- Direct communications. If you email us (for example, to exercise a privacy right), we receive the contents of that message.
Information collected automatically
- Server logs. Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) records standard request data such as IP address, user agent, request path, and timestamp. We use this to detect abuse and to operate the Site.
- Bot protection. We use Cloudflare Turnstile on the waitlist form. Turnstile may collect device-level signals to confirm you are human. See Cloudflare's privacy policy.
We do not use third-party advertising or analytics trackers on this Site today. If we add analytics in the future, we will update this policy and use a privacy-respecting option.
How we use information
- To notify you about our launch and important product updates.
- To understand which states have the most demand so we can prioritize expansion.
- To operate, secure, and improve the Site.
- To comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their marketing purposes.
Service providers
We share information with vendors who help us operate the Site:
- Cloudflare — hosting, edge compute (Workers), database (D1), and bot protection (Turnstile).
We may also disclose information if required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of any person.
Children's privacy
The Site is intended for adults (parents and guardians) and for teens of permit-age (typically 14½ and older). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us information, contact us at privacy@drivesmart.academy and we will delete it.
For teens between 13 and 18, we encourage parents and guardians to review this policy with them before they sign up.
Retention
We retain waitlist information until the earlier of: (a) you ask us to delete it, or (b) 24 months after our public product launch. Server logs are retained according to Cloudflare's standard retention.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information; to opt out of certain uses; and to lodge a complaint with a regulator. To exercise any of these rights, email privacy@drivesmart.academy. We will respond within 30 days.
Security
We use industry-standard safeguards including HTTPS, modern hashing of any sensitive identifiers, and least-privilege access to our database. No method of transmission is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security but we work to protect your information.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date above reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be announced on this page and, if you are on the waitlist, by email.
