Accessibility
Last updated
Drive Smart Academy is built by Deep Six Solutions LLC d/b/a Drive Smart Academy. We believe everyone — including drivers and parents with disabilities — should be able to learn from our content. This page explains where we stand on accessibility today and how to reach us if you hit a barrier.
The standard we aim for
We target conformance with WCAG 2.1 Level AA (the most widely adopted accessibility guidelines) across this Site and our future product. Where conformance gaps exist, we treat them as bugs and prioritize them like any other.
What we do today
- Use semantic HTML and ARIA only where semantics aren't enough.
- Maintain visible focus indicators for keyboard navigation.
- Aim for 4.5:1 minimum color contrast on body text and 3:1 on large text.
- Respect the user's
prefers-reduced-motionsetting. - Write descriptive link text and button labels.
- Keep the keyboard tab order logical.
Known limitations
The Site is brand-new and we have not yet completed a full third-party accessibility audit. If you find something that doesn't work for you, please tell us — see the contact section below.
Tested with
We test with current versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge on desktop and mobile, with VoiceOver (macOS / iOS) and the keyboard alone. Coverage with NVDA, JAWS, and TalkBack will expand as we approach product launch.
